Who Are We?

Lynda Booth

I am married with two young children and live in Dunfermline. I graduated from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh with a BA (Hons) degree in Business Organisation. Upon graduating I joined Hewlett Packard in a commercial business role. After having my second child I decided to leave the world of commerce behind to spend more time with my family and consider other career options. I’m a firm believer in the value spending time with your children can bring for both parent and child and look forward to putting this into action through Doodle & Splat.

Pamela Habrovitsky

I am married to Jonathan and have three children and live in Dunfermline. I graduated from Napier University in Edinburgh with a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies, and upon graduating I also joined Hewlett Packard, where I first met Lynda. Like Lynda, after my second son I decided to leave the business world behind to spend more time with my family. Over the years I have been involved working with young children through my involvement with the Girl Guide Association, along with my running of the arts and craft activity at a local toddler group. Like Lynda I’m so excited about our new adventure and hope to introduce lots of new ideas and fun activities which will excite all Doodle & Splatters!

How We Got Started:

We both enjoy taking our children to a variety of classes in and around Dunfermline, from ballet and football to music and drama. One class activity which we found to be lacking in Fife was arts and crafts. Our children absolutely love this type of activity and we have both spent many hours with them creating little masterpieces which now decorate our homes! Due to what we’ve seen as a gap in the market, coupled with our enthusiasm and belief in the ability of arts and crafts to develop and entertain children, we decided to set up our own business which specifically addresses this area. In the autumn of 2008, Doodle & Splat was born! Now the children of Fife & Edinburgh have the opportunity to come along to classes and with their parents, explore and demonstrate their creative art and craft skills, have fun and get messy. What’s more, we’ll even do all the clearing up!

Like all parents, we are aware of the environmental impact that we all have on the planet, therefore with Doodle & Splat we will aim to use recycled materials wherever possible to help a little.

We both hold a Baby and Child First Aid Certificate from St Andrew’s Ambulance Association and also have current Disclosure Scotland Certificates.
